Setting time aside during the day to wipe down everyday surfaces can help reduce germs in your home significantly. When doing this, it’s very important to keep track of where and when you have cleaned a surface. Keeping track of this helps to reduce the spread of germs! 

After disinfecting your surfaces, if you want to help promote airflow, you may find opening up the windows and doors in your home for several minutes at a time will get the stagnant air out of your home and fresh, new air in.

This may be the oldest saying in the book, but washing your hands is the easiest and most effective way to keep virus germs out of your home. Stores, restaurants, gas pumps, and most other public places most likely have germs on their surfaces. The most effective way to combat these germs is to wash your hands after touching a public place! If you don’t wash your hands after touching contaminated surfaces, you will then bring those germs into your home. Therefore, infecting your home more. Though this practice is spoken of a lot, it is also the most effective way to rid your home of germs.

Clean Your Sheets

Bed sheets can be forgotten in the midst of everything, however, washing and cleaning them is very crucial! Though you may feel clean when you hop in bed, germs have a mind of their own. To most effectively combat the spread of germs, it is said that you should clean your sheets weekly!

Quarantine The Sick

Lastly, if you happen to have a sick person in your house already. Try to limit the spread of germs by keeping them contained to one bedroom and one bathroom. This confines the germs to a very limited number of places. Make sure to continuously wipe these areas down in order to kill off those germs left behind!
