- Set A Timer – Set a timer to pick up the house. Even something as sort as 5-10 minutes of “clean-up” time a few times a week can really be effective and fun for your kids to help with the cleaning of the house. Make it a game with them and for those minutes everyone helps out – picking up toys, wiping the bathroom counters, making beds, taking out the trash, vacuuming, or dusting can be easy tasks kids can help with and gets them involved.
